Dear Doctor,

Thank you very much for your kind courtesy extended to Mr.N.K.Pandey,Sales Manager and Mr.Atul Sinha when they called on you recently.

Zinc is one of the important elements used in the management of acute diarrhea. Zinc is also an important mucosal protector. There are several studies to show that there is a reduction in the duration of diarrhea and reduced stool output. 10 to 20mg of Zinc per day for 10 to 14 days reduces the number of episodes of diarrhea in 2 to 3 months after the supplementation of regimen.

WHO and UNICEF recommend 10 to 20mg of zinc supplements for 10 to 14 days for children with acute diarrhea and 10mg per day for infants under 6 months to curtail the severity of diarrhea and to prevent the recurrence in next 2 to 3 months.

We are also enclosing herewith scientific data for your reference.

Regards,
Dr.Sujatha
Medical Director
